Dustin Brown’s postgame thoughts…
(on the Islanders’ speed…)
BROWN: “They have some really fast forwards, Grabner especially. He might be one of the fastest guys in the league. They got on our D pretty good, especially early, on the power play. They pressured and we weren’t ready for it, and it resulted in a goal.”
(on the road trip…)
BROWN: “It would have been a great road trip if we got two points. Everyone was looking at this as our major break, and we’re right there. We’ve just got to keep going. It’s hard to sit here and be happy with how we played tonight, but we’ll get home and get some rest and get ready for Anaheim.”
(on whether the Kings had the right attitude in the game…)
BROWN: “You look at that first power play, and I don’t know if we were ready to play. I thought we had a lot of really good chances, at the same time, though. Montoya made some really good saves, especially in the second there. It was a hard game, physically and mentally. We didn’t get the result. That’s the bottom line.”
