Postgame notes (Feb. 16)

Some notes from last night’s game…

— The Kings claimed at least one point in their 10th consecutive game as they beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 in a shootout on Wednesday night at Nationwide Arena.

— Jarret Stoll scored in the second round of the shootout, and Jonathan Quick made three saves for the win. The Kings improved to 7-1 in shootouts this season, and Jonathan Quick is 7-0, having saved 28 of 33 attempts for a save percentage of .848. Five of the Kings’ last eight games have gone beyond regulation.

— The Kings are 8-0-2 in their last 10 games. Seven games into their season-long run of 10 consecutive road games, the Kings are 5-0-2, having claimed 12 out of a possible 14 points.

— For the fourth consecutive game, the Kings neither scored a power-play goal nor allowed a power-play goal. They went 0-for-3 on the power play and 2-for-2 on the penalty kill, with most of that penalty kill coming on a Columbus 5-on-3 advantage that lasted 1 minute, 53 seconds.

— The Kings have now allowed three or fewer goals in 16 consecutive games. The Kings have allowed four third-period goals in those 16 games, including the one scored by Columbus’ Kris Russell with 1:23 remaining.

— The Kings outshot the Blue Jackets 29-24, including 10-7 in the first period.

— Jonathan Quick stopped 21 of 24 shots in regulation. Quick is 7-0-1 in his last eight games.

— The Kings improved to 15-13-2 on the road, 24-8-0 when scoring the first goal and 14-8-3 in one-goal games.

— Andrei Loktionov had one goal and one assist for the first multi-point game of his 18-game NHL career. Loktionov has two goals in his last three games, and four goals and three assists this season.

— Justin Williams had one goal, his team-high 20th of the season. Williams became the first Kings player to reach 20 goals this season and has reached the 20-goal mark for the third time in his career. Williams has two goals and four assists in his last five games.

— Drew Doughty had one goal, his second consecutive game with a goal. Doughty has four goals in his last six games.

— Matt Greene had one assist, his sixth assist of the season. Greene has two assists in his last three games.

— Anze Kopitar had one assist. Kopitar has recorded an assist in three consecutive games.

— Michal Handzus had one assist. Handzus has one goal and two assists in his last three games.

— Alec Martinez had one assist, for his first point in his last nine games.

— Jarret Stoll recorded a team-high five shots on goal. Wayne Simmonds and Kevin Westgarth each were credited with a team-high three hits and Drew Doughty was credited with a game-high four blocked shots.

— Drew Doughty played a game-high 28 minutes, 53 seconds. Dustin Brown led all Kings forwards in ice time at 21:56.

— The Kings won 29 of 65 faceoffs (45 percent). Jarret Stoll won 9 of 15 draws (60 percent).
