Brown postgame quotes

Dustin Brown’s postgame thoughts…

(on the game…)
BROWN: “We’ve been doing well in the shootouts lately, but tonight they got the win. We just have to take the point and move on to the Islanders.”

(on not getting the extra point because of the shootout loss…)
BROWN: “That point is a huge point for us. You get to a shootout, and it is what it is. We’ve won our fair amount of those, and tonight we didn’t get the extra point. It was a huge point for us not to get, but we’ve got to just kind of take the point and refocus, because we’ve had a really good road trip and we can make it a great one if we win against the Islanders.”

(on the 8-0-3 stretch…)
BROWN: “We’ve got to keep plugging along here. It’s so tight. Like I said, that one point is huge. We’re disappointed in not getting two, but we’ve just got to move on and refocus, because this game is done and over with. We’ve got to get two more (points) in our next game, and we’ve got to have that attitude for the rest of the year.”

(on the team’s attitude after going down 3-2…)
BROWN: “It’s one of those moments where you don’t want to give up that goal. At that point of the game, I think both teams, given the situation of the standings, are telling themselves to hold on and get a point. We gave up that goal, but to come right back, I think this team has showed that kind of never-give-up attitude. We did it a lot last year, and we’ve come from behind a few times this year. We’ve got to keep doing it. It’s more important than ever, now, because you never know what can happen.”
