Postgame notes (Feb. 13)

Some notes from yesterday’s game…

— The Kings recorded at least one point in their ninth consecutive game as they beat the Philadelphia Flyers 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Wells Fargo Center.

— The Kings improved to 7-0-2 in their last nine games. Six games into their run of 10 consecutive road games, the Kings have claimed 10 out of a possible 12 points.

— The Kings’ win was their first in Philadelphia since March 23, 2000, and was their first regulation win in Philadelphia since April 1, 1993, a game played at the old Spectrum arena. It was the Kings’ first shutout of the Flyers since Oct. 21, 2003.

— Jonathan Quick stopped 40 shots for his sixth shutout of the season and his 14th career shutout. Quick has a 6-0-1 personal record in his last seven games and has allowed two or fewer goals in five of his last six starts.

— The Kings have allowed two or fewer goals in seven of their last eight games and 11 of their last 13 games.

— The game was the Kings’ second 1-0 win of the season, following a win over Tampa Bay at Staples Center on Nov. 4. The Kings have suffered two 1-0 losses this season, against San Jose on Jan. 1 and against Minnesota in a shootout on Feb. 1.

— The Kings swept games on back-to-back days for the second time this season, in 10 attempts. The Kings also beat Anaheim and San Jose on Dec. 26 and 27.

— The Kings went 0-for-2 on the power play and 4-for-4 on the penalty kill, the third consecutive game in which the Kings neither scored nor allowed a power-play goal. The Kings have a 23-8-2 record this season when they do not allow a power-play goal.

— The Kings improved to 14-13-2 on the road, 23-8-0 when scoring first, 18-0-0 when leading after the second period, 13-8-3 in one-goal games and 25-6-2 when allowing two or fewer goals.

— The Flyers outshot the Kings 40-25, including 15-6 in the third period. Oddly, the Kings have a 4-0 record in games in which opponents record at least 40 shots on goal.

— Drew Doughty scored the game’s only goal. Since early January, Doughty has not gone more than three consecutive games without a goal.

— Anze Kopitar assisted on the goal. Kopitar has four assists in his last nine games.

— Wayne Simmonds assisted on the goal. Simmonds recently had an eight-game run without a point but now has three assists in his last two games.

— Ryan Smyth was credited with a team-high four shots on goal. Jarret Stoll was credited with a team-high four hits and Anze Kopitar was credited with a game-high four blocked shots.

— Drew Doughty led all players in ice time at 28 minutes, 36 seconds. Anze Kopitar led all Kings forwards in ice time at 21:02, one second more than Ryan Smyth.

— The Kings won 23 of 58 faceoffs (40 percent).
