Conroy set to announce retirement

Former Kings center Craig Conroy, now a member of the Calgary Flames, is holding a news conference today and is expected to announce his retirement. Conroy, 39, cleared waivers on Wednesday and has been a healthy scratch in all but 18 games this season. Conroy would finish his career with 542 points in 1,009 NHL games. He spent parts of two seasons with the Kings before being traded to Calgary, with 27 goals and 55 assists in 130 games.

The Kings, meanwhile, are expected to be on the ice at the Corral at 1:30 p.m. local time (12:30 p.m. in L.A.) for their practice.
