Way to go guys. One of these days I’m going to shake Bobs hand and get him to sign my copy of his book.

@Dominick,
He’ll sign it no problem. Just catch him early before the game at section 318. He’s always been very gracious when I’ve asked him to sign something. For that matter Jim, Darryl, and Nick are the same way.

@Dominick, That’s an awesome idea… he’s a great guy to talk to! He signed mine…

If Petros Papadakis won anything the whole thing is sham IMO! and a joke just like him! I respect his dad, but i cant stand him.

@BrokeKingsFan, Agreed. He is a overvociferous windbag. Every time he accentuates his voice on the radio he sounds like Beavis on steroids. He should go home and watch film of himself as a color analyst on tv where he talks normal and actually does a good job.

@IceGuy, I remember when the Kings hosted a “Bob Miller Night” at the Forum and all three of those guys were on the ice at the same time. Huge cheers from all of us in attendance. We have certainly been spoiled.

Congrats guys…well deserved.
On the same topic and in remembrance..a short moment for Chick Hearn. IMHO the greatest basketball play by play ever to grace a basketball arena.

Just a little on two of the best announcers that hockey has to offer. When I lived in LA, I grew up listing to Bob Miller and Chick Hearn. Miller always gave sound play by play both on tv and the radio. When listening on the radio he always made you feel like you were at the Forum watching the game. When Fox came along a few years later, they both made a wonderful team. I’ve always learn something new about the game while listening to Fox’s analysis. For this I”m grateful. When I moved to Utah in 1998 I missed these guys and for me hockey and the Kings was hard to follow, but then came the huge gift called NHL Center Ice. I will never forget that first season back in 2004. I was shocked being able to hear these guys again. Now it’s just like being back home when the Kings come on. Thanks to both of you guys for making me feel right at home each and every broadcast.

Congrats to both Miller and Foxy! You guys do a wonderful un-biased commentary and complete the whole home viewing of games for me. Growing up listening to you both has been a very special treat. Keep up the amazing job! You guys rule!

Can’t we just win the cup ONCE for Bob!!! Come on Kings! Bob Miller IS the BEST Hockey announcer in the US period!

Agree 100%. Kings gotta win the Cup for Bob Miller.

This award is going to someday be called “The Bob Miller Award”.
Congratulations to you both.
Fox was a bit raw early on, but he’s really done, and doing, such a fine job.
Becoming well respected around the world of hockey as well.

Brian Hayward should have won!

congrats to both of these guys. especially miller, who is always so professional. maybe its just me, but has anyone else noticed that he is a little less objective this year? i remember him never “rooting” for the kings during the games. but this year he really makes it clear with the “shutout” jinx, as well as other comments. anyway, i really hope we can win a cup while miller is still with the team.

@blahblah, so does he! He has said that his greatest fear is to retire and the Kings win the Stanley Cup the following year.

Congrats to Jim and Bob. Moving back to the LA area a year and half ago and getting to watch the Kings’ broadcasts made me realize how great they are both individually and as a team. We definitely need to win a cup for Bob. Can the Kings get a jersey patch for that? “Win for Bob”
[Reply]
Congrags Bob & Jim!!! You guys are the best TV broadcasters for sure!!
Gotta give props to Nick and Daryl for the radio broadcasts too
without those i’d never hear the games!

King’s Fans are absolutely spoiled to have Bob and Jim as our TV broadcasters and we know it…
If anyone doubts me they only need to listen to the complete torture that some endure (Ducks) to watch their respective home teams.
