Ryan Smyth’s postgame thoughts…
(on winning back-to-back games…)
SMYTH: “This game is not only about mistakes — least amount of mistakes wins — but gaining some confidence as you go, and when you put a string of wins together it gives a boost to the hockey club.”
(on playing a strong overall game…)
SMYTH: “Just doing the little things right, capitalizing on the special teams. You know, Quickie [Jonathan Quick] played outstanding, gave us a chance, made some spectacular saves tonight, which, you know, sometimes you get pinned back and you get hemmed in your own zone. He rectified that and settled things down for us.”
What a nice goal. His anticipation was something that few players can do. His stick was all over the ice.

I hereby nominate Ryan Smyth for team captain. He leads by words and example. Plus his playoff experience is a huge plus. Great influence on the younger guys!

@Cowboy Bill, thats a great idea, but taking away the C from DB wont play well I think.
