There’s nothing terribly new about the Boston Bruins. They’re getting good goaltending and they’re playing well on the road. The Bruins are 15-5-4 on the road this season, those 34 points representing the second-most most in the NHL this season (Philadelphia is 17-5-3). Boston is 6-0-3 in its last nine road games. Goalie Tim Thomas today was named the NHL’s “First Star of the Week.” Thomas went 3-0-0 with one shutout and allowed four goals in three games. Thomas is first among NHL goalies in goals-against average (1.83) and save percentage (.945). Here’s how the Bruins and Kings are scheduled to line up tonight, followed by the Bruins’ full roster.

Can the Kings stand with another Bad Boy from the East?

Great, they are dressing Milan Lucic, Adam McQuaid, Zdeno Chara, Shawn Thornton, and Gregory Campbell.
And we are dressing Clifford and Simmonds
Well looks like we will be out hit and out played in the physical department again tonight.
Hope no one gets hurt.
I think Lokti better keep his head up tonight, they have a big rough lineup dressed tonight.

and even if Westgarth was in, it’s not like he’ll get into a fight.

Does anyone including Rich know the contract info on Kyle Clifford, Andrei Loktionov, Brayden Schenn, Kevin Westgarth?
Also open to anyone do you think the King’s will waste money on guys like Rich Clune, Corey Elkins, Marc-Andre Cliché, John Zieler, Peter Harrold and Alexei Ponikarovsky?
Also out of Justin Williams!!! Wayne Simmonds, ZUES, Richardson and/or Trevor Lewis (who makes nothing) who do you feel deserves a new contract next season?

@Paul G, Not sure why everyone is writing off Sturm for next year – based on his injury, was anyone expecting him to do much this year?

@Choralone, Thats why we traded “future considerations”….if we don’t resign him we owe them nothing

@Paul G, Right. I’m just assuming that Sturm will be much improved next year, much like the case with Williams and Handzus coming off their injuries. Seems kind of wierd to pick him up when you know he’s going to suck, then ditch him just before you know he’s likely to be much better.

@Choralone, Hes a 20 goal scorer not Pavel Bure….idc what Murray says
Go Kings GO!!! Play hard and play 60 minutes.

Qestion 2. I wouldn’t consider it a waist for most of those guys.
Question 3. Zues, all though I love the guy probably won’t be back. All the others I say are 50/50. Lewis this season is starting to show more promise than in the past, and Willy has been a beast. Simmers and Richie you already know what your getting.
Dl will make take it or leave it offers.

How much better can the Bruins get when you have your #2 pick playing on the 3rd line.

Show up, Kings. Don’t let a team from the East roll up your skirts yet again.
[Reply]
Anybody realize that this is the last eastern conferance team to visit Staples this season?
That is unless we make the Stanley Cup finals.

@Dominick,
just as weel…we need to rack up some wins against division rivals first, if we expect to make a move…
Let’s “beat the west” first, and then go after the east…

@Jim In CM, Doesn’t really matter who we get the points against now. They are ALL critical.

@xeropoint, Agree, but the real critical wins will be those we get against those in the west…especially those ahead of us in the standings.

The kings will be out of after the upcoming roadtrip. A gm should improve the team each year, not have them regress.
