After the scoreless second period, the Kings killed a penalty early in the third then took a 2-0 lead at the 3:30 mark. Anze Kopitar picked off a pass at the defensive blue line, then skated the puck deep into the Boston zone. Kopitar passed to Brown, who shot from the right circle. Thomas made the save, but defenseman Adam McQuaid was unable to clear the puck from the front of the net, and Andrei Loktionov pounced on it and scored.
Lokti deserved that one!

Man, we are winning those battles. Welcome back Kings!

The kings need to play the chorus to rise rebel resist from the band otep after all goals.

A bit off topic.. but is sucks to be Dallas tonight. At last check, they are getting schooled by Vancouver 7-1. Couldn’t happen to a better team

@jason, Not just Brown, everyone is taking the body. That’s what we need. Poni has got to stop tackling people though. Someone tell him the Superbowl is in 2 weeks

@KingsFaninsano, on that penalty he took it looked like he wanted to kill that guy with the check but pulled out of it at the last second causing him to hold with the stick…either way i agree with you.

Nice to see the great effort by our team. Quick looks like his old self, the team is taking the body and we are going to the net.

I am glad they are getting away from that boring dump and chase crap…other teams were clearly ready for it and making us pay. Thanx TM for letting the boys just play, and enjoy !

@puck73, And against a team who clogs up the neutral zone and typically stands up at their blueline. Stick to stick passes attacking with speed backs them off. They’re doing a good job
[Reply]
lokti yesssss
they better keeep this guy…..
go kings go
[Reply]
Good thiing Lokti scored, I think Kopi was pissed at thim for not getting ipen for the pass on that 2on1. Seems like he was palcing himself the entire time behind the lone Dman. GKG. They are battling finally.

I can’t remember a dump and chase in this game. The Kings are making their way into the O zone fairly easily with their passing and attack. Nice!

@pnm, I believe it is cause they are being allowed to build up some speed heading into the O zone. It is causing the Bruins defense to back off and just let them enter relatively unimpeded.
[Reply]
why the heck does murray keep taking out Lokti near the end of games.. Handzus has been blowin coverage a lot lately

I have the game on two tvs in my house. On one ive fast forwarded ahead and i overheard Jim Fox analyzing a different plays on the two tvs and just got to wondering: If I were stuck in a room with 100 tvs all with Fox on them talking… I think the world would explode

Solid agressive offense in front of defense not making bad turnovers in front of GREAT goalie = shutout!
