The Kings got on the scoreboard first with a power-play goal, as they broke an 0-for-22 power-play skid. Ryan Smyth did a good job of keeping the puck in the Boston zone, then got rewarded a few seconds later. Jarret Stoll took a shot from just above the left circle and Smyth, parked at the side of the net, took two whacks at the rebound and put the puck past prone goalie Tim Thomas to give the Kings a 1-0 lead with 9:10 remaining in the first period.
Not only a goal, but a power play goal. Thank God

I just saw a pig fly by my window.

Not sure that goal should count since Smythe’s stick wasn’t quite on the ice and it might have been a high stick (just kidding!). Nice to see a PP goal finally. Really appreciated seeing the Kings going to the net and not just hanging on the perimeter.

@Dorian,
Can’t get blood out of a turnip. I’ll just ask Fox for money since he was giving it away to DL the other night.
I’m confused, the refs call something in our favor??? Ok, let’s get another PP goal!

@Vegaskingsfan, If we got the same favoring as Toronto we would be 1st place no matter how bad we play
