Nice period boys!

Is it just me or did they look a lot better that period. Probably the best in a long time.

@Alton, It is not just you. They look really good tonight.

@Vegaskingsfan, I hope they keep it. They need to get back in the grove of things.

@Alton, It’s not just you. I was thinking the same thing. With few exceptions, they looked good in Phoenix, too.

@pnm, but lately they seem to choke in the second, hopefully they can hold onto the lead.

@Alton, The Kings have the SWAG back. We seem very confident..
[Reply]
It’s a good thing RS didn’t knock that puck into the net. the refs would have waived it off and then went to toronto for review and they would have said there’s not enough “conclusive” evidence that it wasn’t a high stick even though it was around knee high.

@jason, That’s what I was thinking too. Hopefully the season long 2nd period nap doesn’t take place. So far they dodged the “giving up a goal in less than three minutes” thing.

@jason, Bob and Jim have already warned us about the third period with the Bruins..
[Reply]
Wait, who kidnapped the Kings and replaced them with hard working players?

pnm Reply:

@Bill M., There was some talk about concerns of the Kings not being able to match up to a pretty big Bean Town team. I think they are holding their own nicely, so far… Two more periods to go!
[Reply]
Stoll is really come up big these last 2 games and is also hitting the net!!!
[Reply]
Keep it up boys! the 2nd period is just another 1st period. Keep on playing the way you been playing.
[Reply]
lets go boys
lokti is playing great

@gmo, great backcheck by lokti so far

hard working team on defense leads to offensive chances. what a concept
[Reply]
Simmonds needs to settle his game down. He moves before he has control of the puck and stick handles way too much. He has one speed and he never seems to be under control.

@KingsFaninsano, i know it wasnt a cmment about his playing
Didn’t get to see Lokti against PHX, but I’m impressed. That wrist shot that just went wide was wicked . . .

Loki is something special! Move Kopitar to rw and Loki to center.

Finally home from work and watching Bob and Jim on line in NY.
My call:
JQ always rises to the occasion when up against one of his most esteemed colleagues such as a Thomas or Luongo.
Kings will not lose this lead.
GO KINGS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Simmonds is a MADMAN!
[Reply]
What a save by Thomas.
[Reply]
simmons almost… i love how bruins keep going offside.. The reason it keeps happening is because kings are standing up at the blue line.. That alone wins them games

@jason, good analysis !

Wow, that was a bad penalty to take on Poni. No need for that is the O zone. That’s the kind of undisciplined play that can cost games. No reason for that.

greene had 5 hrs to clear that

i think brown blocked that shot by poni…nice move by poni

Kings have been really physical this period.
[Reply]
well, just FFWD’d my Tivo to this point and seems we had some good cross-seam passing in the PPP. Also so Cliffy lost another fight – God love him. No damage though. Seems like half of his punches are with the side of his fist LOL. I also see good movement and one-touch passing on the BOS PP. Hope we’re reviewing that but doubt it. GKG!!! They lok OK so far. No dead legs.

Brownie the bruin hunter!

Kings really moving the puck well and D is really stepping up.
[Reply]
Did you see Lewis finish that check on the PK?!!!!!!!
[Reply]
Is it me, or does it seem like Brown needs his skates sharpened half the time? LOL

Now THAT is how you play a second period, boys! No goals, but great defense and lots of chances.
