As noted earlier, this two-game set is big for the Kings and Phoenix Coyotes, as it includes the potential of an eight-point swing in the standings. Will the power play make the difference tonight? Both teams have been wobbly of late. As earlier noted, the Kings haven’t scored a power-play goal in five consecutive games, and the Coyotes are 3-for-39 with the man advantage in their last 11 games, although they did get one in their last game and two in a game last week against Toronto. To catch up on today’s Kings news and notes, please check out my LAKings.com notebook by clicking below. We do need him. Right now Westgarth is the only one on the team who is playing up to his potential!

look at that loaded Phx roster, there is plenty of blame to go around for the Kings. the Sorry Sabres have even pulled within 2 Pts in the overall standings. a win would be nice tonight, but this team has sucked all the enjoyment out for me. i dont even yell when they score now, i guess i am a bad fan

@KingsfaninWNY,
Tough to get excited about a team that doesn’t seem to care enough to bring it…does this team still have the will to win?

@KingsfaninWNY, Yeah, I’m with you on barely raising a cheer when we score, but I can’t turn away, because we are going to win something sooner or later and I won’t desert the Kings, no matter how bad they play. However, I feel like I’m drowning in gloom these days and need a pick-me-up, Like a BIG WIN TONIGHT!!!

the rise starts tonight! GKG

And now taking the ice your 12th place – Los Angeles Kings!
No worries here it’s only year two according to GM Lombardi.
He probably looks at the standings and thinks his team is 5th or something.

The Wings signed Nabokov tonight. He will go on waivers tomorrow at Noon and will have 24 hours to clear waivers. Will the Kings have any interest? Are they happy with Quick and Bernier?
