Terry Murray’s postgame thoughts…
(on the surprisingly poor effort…)
MURRAY: “It surprised everybody here tonight. We didn’t play. We just didn’t play in any area of the game. Last night, I’m here watching the game and they got a 2-on-0 to start the game off, right on the very first shift. (Tonight) we have a bouncing puck, over Jack’s stick, both our defensemen get scrambling and they took advantage of it tonight and it’s 1-0. And that just opened the door for us.”
(on Quick’s play…)
MURRAY: “I’d have to look at it again. There are goals that are just backdoor plays, with the man driving off the weak-side post, and that’s the responsibilities of other people. That’s the way it goes some nights. We’ve got to regroup. We’ve got another big game tomorrow, and we have to kind of throw this one away really quickly.”
(on giving up goals soon after scoring…)
MURRAY: “I’m moving on here, right now. We’ve got another game tomorrow now. This was a bad one. Those things happen, and we’ve just got to put it in the trash can and forget about it.”
