I’m surprised that Kopitar is in. Both he and Poni got hammered into the boards hard last nite (No calls on either hit)

its become a common trend for the kings to lose someone to injury in the SAME GAME we get someone back from an injury. it happened this year when richardson got injured in the calgary game that poni was back from an injury. it happened last year with smyth and williams. and it happened again with someone else this year. and now this.

@blahblah, I think it was mitchell, who we got back and lost in the same game. lol

I know what you meant, I just couldn’t resist.

@blahblah, Ya it stinks too because I really liked the way that fourth line played especially cycling the puck. I hope Poni is okay and can get back into the lineup soon. We need him and Mitchell. I really like that Poni plays with speed and grit, but hopefully he comes back soon we could have used him tonight against this San Jose team and we are going to need him with our upcoming schedule. Anybody heard anything on Mitchell? Hasn’t it been around three weeks now since he was injured?

To Enforce or NOT to Enforce? Been thinking about it and while it doesn’t apply to tonight’s decision (unless you consider Harrold) it will matter as the season progresses.

Being a fan of Westgarth this is great news! Sorry Poni boy. Not happy that you’re hurt but am happy to see Westgarth back on the ice. I felt before TM made him a healthy scratch due to Sturm getting in the lineup that he had been playing well. Making smart plays out of the defensive zone and even getting some good scoring chances.. So here’s to Westy! Get some!

I guess we’re 9-9-1 since the slide began. At least after the dip but then with the upswing, now we’ve played .500 for that stretch…

Hopefully we won’t get that long of a bad stretch anymore!

Tonight’s game is important. We need this win to show San Jose that we are for real and their years of ruling this division is over. No I’m not happy with our 3-3 record against division rivals. We are better than that. If we are going to rule this Kingdom than we have to beat teams and get the points that guarantee us the playoffs. Playoffs are coming faster then we think to say that this game is not important would be flat out dumb. Let’s see what happens tonight. Go kings , get in that so called shark tank and kick some butt. Come home with some big and I mean Big points. San Jose and Phoenix.

I enjoy this type of Kings hockey! Fun to watch, high paced yet in control.

On a side note, Poni didn’t look comfortable out there about half way through the game. Seemed that he was a step slower getting to pucks. Also, Trevor Lewis may not be turning heads with his point total but he is making a huge impact on the forecheck and in the defensive zone. With Lewis, Clifford, Brown, Simmonds and Richardson, we are really hunting down pucks well. Each line is contributing and playing their roles well. Happy for Sturm! He is playing smart and starting to get into the flow of the Kings game. When it finally clicks and he finds his legs, we are going to be sporting some seriously great lines. This might be the year that we surprise the masses!
