As previously posted, the Kings will go with Jonathan Bernier in goal tonight, almost certainly giving tomorrow night’s game at San Jose to Jonathan Quick. Terry Murray said, “It’s four games in five days, so I’ve got to get both goaltenders into games.” For the latest on the Ducks, check out the great job done by my former colleagues Eric Stephens and Curtis Zupke on the Orange County Register’s Ducks blog. Here’s how the Kings and Ducks are expected to line up tonight, with the only question being the status of Nick Bonino, who reportedly has a bruised right foot…

The Ducks are going to have a lot more bruises after tonight! Geez I hate these guys. What a Mickey Mouse organization- literally. If contraction wasn’t bad for the players, I would fold the Los Angeles Ducks of Anaheim instantaneously. Embarassing name, team, city, county, you name it. Welcome to another heavy dose of Dustin Brown, fellas! Go Kings Go!!!

@Kings Fan, Seriously, how anyone can call themselves “fans” of this franchise is beyond me. So proud of everything the Kings have accomplished in the last few years. Being a bottom dweller all that time, we are finally rewarded with a REAL team. A team that plays for each other, fights for each other and wins for each other. Thank you DL for THIS team, I wouldn’t trade it for any in the league. Now lets go slaughter some putrid water fowl! GKG!!!

Their big 3 are a handful, but have not been the difference enough this season. Perry is a sucker for taking retaliotory penalties. The Ducks take agressive penalties when you drive the net towards their goalie. As soon as the whistle is blown, you’ll see guys grabing hold and trying to start fights. Could be exposed if the Kings don’t oblige them.
Shutting down Temmu is always a problem. How he gets so much space, even though the Kings know he’s on the ice has always dumbfounded me.

@Dominick, I agree. The Ducks second line always scares me. Koivu and Selanne are always tough to stop.

@Hockeysureshot,
9 of the last 19 goals scored by the Ducks against the Kings were by that 2nd line. So yes, they do damage to the crown. Less than half that total were scored by the top line.

@nickdoh: Seriously, an entire line of those guys?!? They probably play 20 mins a night too, with that forward depth. But let’s agree, we all love Parros, because he’s a King at heart, and we all respect the ‘stache! But they’re just so, so bad, embarrasing, and painful to watch. Merry Christmas!

I just can’t believe the NHL schedulers. We go for a 7 day stretch with no games earlier then get 4 in 5 days? Once this stretch of games is over we should be closer in the GP column and lose those games in hand we have been holding.

Wooooo! Finally got a break in the schedule to make it out to some games (wish I could get season tickets, but I live in San Diego and it’s hard to get to enough games to justify)
Bought a package tho, first game is the sharks on new years day. Could have gotten a better deal, but I wanted this package for the playoff priority. I fully intend to be going to some playoff games…

Like the looks of the 4th line poni is a better player than westgarth. we need points not an overrated punching bag that has broken his nose in his last 2 fights.

Did I mention before the game that drive to the net and the Ducks will take a penalty. Perry’s a penalty magnet.
