Oilers 1, Kings 0

After a scoreless first period, and after the Kings failed to score on a power play early in the second period, the Oilers struck first with a power-play goal 1:39 into the second period.

Taylor Hall carried the puck up the left side and, from the middle of the left circle, fired a wrist shot that went under Quick’s pad and into the net. Sam Gagner and Ryan Whitney picked up assists.

    Well, I guess DD is alternating games where he plays great and then so-so. He hasn’t looked good in this game at all.

    Quick should have that one. Perhaps Bernier should of be in net.

    @DaKingBaby!!, Perhaps Doughty should not have been out of position and step behind Hall…the Kings should trade the bum. Seriously, get a clue!

    If I made a drinking game out of the amount of tape to tape passes the Kings have made tonight, I’d be sober and thirsty!

    Kings look like they’re out of sync. Not sure if it’s the Oilers’ defensive game tonight, but the Kings can’t seem to get anything going.

    @neil, I knew it wen he said the King’s PPP was improving. Notice all the nice paasing by the Oilers so far. They’ve had many mor echances than the King’s.

    Night and day compared to the way they played in Colorado.

    @RYC,

    Yeah, probably unrealistic to think they can play two games in a row where they play 60-minutes of solid hockey.

    I’m wondering if it would be a good idea to put someone on the point on the PP that can hit the net. Stoll seems to see three nets and hasn’t figured out which to shoot at yet.

    the Kings fall behind 1-0, and Fox and Miller start the excuse making, no wonders a ton of Kings fans are excuse makers.
