Kings probably played well for five minutes in the second. Other than that, the Oilers dictated the flow of the game.

@vplaza, Actually Edmonton is playing like crap also.

@Dominick,
It’s relative, though. Their crap is better than the Kings’ crap right now.

@vplaza,
We really insist on playing to the level of our competition don’t we? That includes Quick, who has no reason to give up that goal.

@Nyck, With all due respect, DD was a full step behind. Remember this is a team game.

@Cry Baby, well it really doesn’t matter how many steps behind he was, the shot came from outside of the circles, that’s Quick’s job.

@Nyck, Bad goal or not, if they only score 1, I’ll take it.
[Reply]
Also, regarding JW, they just pointed out that he’s played on the first and second lines but continues to deliver. The guy can definitely play and you’d think he’s earned a spot on that first line. But you also want your second line to score, so it benefits the team to have him there too.
[Reply]
Come on third period! Feeling out process is over. Time to take it to them, score a goal, then wait for them to make a mistake, and pad the numbers.
[Reply]
At the game. And i feellike edm is outplaying us abit. We need a good third period.4th line spent a lot of time in our zone.

@What’s the frequency, Kenneth?,
Hopefully locker room chat was on focusing for the final period so they can enjoy xmas just a tad bit more.

I wonder how many more times Doughty is going to shoot it either over the net, or into someone’s shin pads again. I like Johnson better than Stoll and Doughty QB’ing the PP. At least he hits the net once in awhile.

We better have Westie dressed for the Ducks. Clifford and Simmonds is the only toughness we have on the ice and the oilers are destroying us in the physical play. I hope Stortini doesn’t start taking runs. Pathetic in the hitting and tougness department tonight by the Kings.
[Reply]
while the Kings are not playing up to their potential, I don’t see Edmonton doing anything that will prevent the Kings from winning this game. All “crap” being relative, the Kings have more experienced “crap” along with their youthful “crap” , so I expect a “crappy” Kings win….

@Jim In CM,
That’s the optimistic view, that the Kings will turn it around, but the Oilers have been more successful with their breakins and cylces. I think they’ve had three or four really good cylces where the Kings were running around their zone, chasing the puck, while the Kings had only one of those.

Agreed, Edmonton has looked better overall and have not put the game away…So,for now I will remain optimistic for now…bottom line will be “scoreboard…

Alright, let’s start this third period on the right track! GKG!

Fox & Miller are calling it better than anyone I’ve ever seen. We are lucky to have them.
The one touch go ahead pass from handzus to richardson was genius.

@Nitrohockey,
Problem was the one he shot wide was when one fo the Oilers was on the ice at the far boards. He gets that on net, chances are better since they have them outnumbered…

Both look good.
