Dustin Brown’s postgame thoughts…
(on the road trip…)
BROWN: “Overall you look, in retrospect, at this trip and it was a hard one, with those teams. Not only the teams that we were playing, but they were all… Detroit is a top team. Nashville had won a bunch in a row. Same here tonight, and Chicago is up there. So, in retrospect, taking three out of (five) is good. I think we were a little disappointed in our efforts, especially in St. Louis and Chicago. We had points, probably, there if we played a little better, but looking back now, 3-2 isn’t bad.”
(on the strong 60-minute effort…)
BROWN: “Defensively, I’d have to go back (and look), but Quickie had to maybe make two really difficult saves, and he made them. I think that’s been maybe our best 60 minutes, especially on the defensive side of the puck, in a five-man unit. We had guys, F3 high, tracking, four and five coming back hard and, like I said, I thought that was our best defensive game in quite some time.”
(on Brad Richardson’s play…)
BROWN: “He’s a bit of an Av killer, I guess. Like I said, we played a good game defensively and, my line in particular, I felt like we were in the offensive zone a lot, and controlled the play. When that happens, you’re going to get chances and, like I said, it was a pretty good complete game for us.”
