Anze Kopitar’s postgame thoughts…
(on winning after the long layoff…)
KOPITAR: “We knew it was going to be a good challenge, (to see) how we were going to respond after the four or five days off, whatever we had. Maybe there was a little bit of rust in the first few minutes, but I thought that as soon as everybody got their first shift in, I thought we were pretty sharp throughout the whole 60 minutes.”
(on being able to beat Calgary, a tough opponent…)
KOPITAR: “Terry was talking about it after (the game) in here, and he said it was probably the most consistent 60 minutes against these guys since he’s been here. It’s pretty close since I’ve been here too, just two years longer. For whatever reason, they were just tough to play against, or we had a hard time playing against them, but tonight I thought it was a great effort for 60 minutes and we got the job done.”
(on breaking through with a power-play goal…)
KOPITAR: “Yeah, it was nice. It wasn’t the prettiest one, but we’ll take them.”
