As expected, Jonathan Quick will get the start in goal against Detroit tomorrow night, and apparently will be opposed by veteran Chris Osgood. This will be Quick’s eighth career start against the Red Wings, and after an 0-5 start, he has won the last two games. Last season, Quick went 2-2 against Detroit and allowed 11 goals in four games.
“Quicker has faced them several other times, and it will be a nice challenge for him,” coach Terry Murray said.
