Scuderi postgame quotes

Rob Scuderi’s postgame thoughts…

(on the game…)
SCUDERI: “We had a good last six or seven minutes there, but it’s certainly not enough to win a hockey game especially against a very good opponent.”

(on the losing streak…)
SCUDERI: “It’s frustrating to us because we’re just so close. We haven’t been blown out of games, we’ve been in games but we just can’t get over this little hump we’re on. If we stick with it, don’t panic and stick together, I think we’ll be a better team because of it, but we just need to keep our heads about us.”

(on the Blackhawks…)
SCUDERI: “Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp have a lot of skills. They’re hard to knock off the puck and create a lot of time and space for their teammates and that’s why they’re two world class players and the current champions right now. It was a good test for us and we weren’t out of the game, but we did just enough to lose.”

    Just got home from the game…was it as pathetic on TV as it was in person?

    @Daren, there was some improvement but there was not enough offense to get the points up. our PP still struggles, expect on the 5 on 3. it’s more frustrating that we can’t score enough to even tie up and try to win.

    @TinaBeana, If we had any type of decent Power Play we would have one some of these games. We absolutely should have beaten Ottawa and Buffalo and with any type of PP, we win both of those games. Get an established winger DL and take some pressure off Kopitar!

    @Daren,

    I just got home myself … I have to say I’m most struck by how brave the Hawk fans in the LUXURY boxes were.

    Classless bunch.

    @Matt George…There were a lot of Hawks “fans” there…wonder how many of them would have been wearing Kings Jerseys if they hadn’t won the Cup last year? I have vowed not to wear my #11 until they win 5 in a row. What the heck is going on?

    @Matt George, alot of LA Kings fans always put down other fans about how brave and bold that they get harressed by other fans right now so are the LA Kings this team is nowhere close to the team that started the season they have got to make people accountable or this is going to turn into another rebuilding job where are all the draft picks has a rookie even scored a goal put that with the players that they have on this team right now after the 2 players got hurt and letting Scheen and Lokti they do not have any other players to make any plays

    @Matt George,

    Agreed. Hawks fans were acting like Wings fans tonight. What happened to winning and losing with class? I never yap at other fans or the other team, simply yell and cheer for my Kings and stadium chants, much less on opposing turf…

    We were taking a group photo outside by Gretzky statue and kept having a Hawks fan try to jump in. The first two times we were nice and laughed, but after we finally turned and got nasty about it, its like have your fun, but let us have ours as well, keep it classy people. Any stadium, any team…

    If teams become better by losing…watch out for the Islanders!!
    Seriously? He thinks this is going to make the team better? Success breeds success…failure is becoming the norm and the team seems to be justifying it instead of fixing it.

    It’s really rather amusing if you think about it. We start out on fire and as the games keep coming, we keep winning. Then, out of nowhere, we start losing. EVERY GAME!! what is it 7 out of 8 now? All of us fans were so happy and proud. I had that extra strut in my step, you know all of you had it too.

    Now we’re all outraged because our so called “elite” team didn’t ease us back into our losing ways. It almost seams deliberate. I just hope, for sanity’s sake, that a fire is lit under their asses again because I want my swagger back.

    Scuds was incredible. No surprise JJ started having his problems when Scuds left his side. Also no surprise DD didn’t seem like the same player once Scuds left his side.

    Scuds is definately one of the most important players on the team.

    @KC23,

    No doubt. Rob’s stick play, positioning and decision making are excellent and instantly improve a team. He is the definition of stability on defense in the NHL. I love him. I don’t care if he doesn’t score, I’ll take 6 of him any night and win 1-0 every night, LOL.
