The Kings outshot the Blackhawks 9-7 in the first period and killed the period’s only power play. Marian Hossa had a breakaway late in the period, but Rob Scuderi broke it up at the last moment. The Kings will be on the power play for the first 1:59 of the second period.
Are we sure Brown isn’t actually a natural left winger?

@neil, i saw our fourth line out against hossa, then in the last minute against kane and toews, poor coaching decision. that cant happen at home. asking for a disaster.

Much better start. Brownie on the left wing is making such a difference. I like what I am seeing so far. 1966 pick up sticks.

i cant believe Simmonds wasnt moved earlier… King even looks better on the 4th

The effort is much better than in the past several games. If we can keep up this effort, we should see a Chicago team getting more and more tired from the back to back.

Why is Handzus on PP?

@cjms,
Why is he on the team?

Wow. Johnson once again with the horrible read, overly aggressive at the Wong time, resulting in a goal right as the team gains momentum…
