Scuderi postgame quotes

Rob Scuderi’s postgame thoughts…

(on the lack of hard work…)
SCUDERI: “I’d have to agree. Recently, I feel like we’re getting caught up in everything else except our own game. I thought it was a questionable call, on the first (penalty), but that stuff happens. We got worked up about it, and unfortunately it ended up in the back of the net. Now we’re thinking about that, instead of just trying to focus and get back into the game, it just seemed like we were behind the eight ball the rest of the night.”

(on the defensive-zone struggles…)
SCUDERI: “We seem to be losing our assignments, trying to do too much work. You have to trust your teammates, and trust that he’s going to do his job and you have to do yours. I know, on the goal I was (on the ice) for, we were all in one area. I can’t remember who scooped up the puck, but the guy was wide open in the slot. That can’t happen, especially when you’re struggling. If the goals don’t go in, that’s one thing, but we have to be solid in our end, to at least give ourselves a chance.”

(on the recent slump…)
SCUDERI: “If I could put my finger on it, I would tell the team and we wouldn’t be in this slump. It just seems to be the way it’s going. I thought tonight was probably the worst we’ve played, of the last four or five games. At least (before) we played two good periods and then seemed to lose it. Not that we’re happy about that, but I think tonight seemed to be the worst effort of all.”

He is right, tonight was the worst. Except for maybe the first 5 minutes. The kings had NO CHANCE of winning this game.

Coach Lundy this is what I’ve been saying do your own job and keep it simple, don’t try and do everyone else’s job, it doesn’t work as then puck hogging starts and out of position starts fast, then your beat

Then start doing something about it and get the team together to watch video and bust your butts correcting it in practice! Start playing harder and with effort or you all are going nowhere!

Scuds on point again. Why does he know this all the time.

Whatched the last half of the Sharks Hawks game, that was two teams that trust their teammates and wouldn’t give up trying to win the entire game.

@jamesonafterawin, Wanna bet their are Hawks fans disappointed and spoiled after getting the cup last season? I am guessing they are not thrilled that they had to get rid of 10 players off their roster because the ownership and management didnt take into consideration something called the salary cap, perhaps you have heard of it. Keep your head up Kings fan, and Happy Thanxgiving.
