Injury update

A couple people have asked about updates on Willie Mitchell (broken wrist) and Alexei Ponikarovsky (broken finger). There’s really no change. The initial timetable was at least four weeks on both players, in terms of returning to health, and it’s been slightly more than two weeks. I’m told that Mitchell has been on the ice — not 100-percent sure about Ponikarovsky, but i believe he has been as well — and the target date for Mitchell is perhaps Dec. 4 or Dec. 9, although that’s very fluid and that would be a little on the optimistic side, in terms of the initial diagnosis.

@MR King, February..Which is fine. We can always use a player who plays a responsible 2 way game going into the playoffs.

I’d read 2-4 on Poni, and so was maybe a little optimistic..

Rich – could you get an update on Nic Deslauriers? He’s been out of the Gatineau lineup since 11/14 and was supposedly kneed by an opponent. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
