Jason Spezza gave the Senators a 3-2 lead with 8:41 remaining in the third period. Spezza carried the puck, with speed, up the left side of the Kings’ zone, made a move around defenseman Matt Greene and beat Quick from a tight angle with a wrist shot.

Greene before the surgery was a liabilty. He is very much overrated by Kings fans because of his work ethic and commitment to team. He is not a good hockey player. He should be used as a sixth defensman.

Something stinks about this game. the disallowed goal on Simmonds when it’s obvious the guy pulled the net off. Smyth’s goal disallowed when it looks pretty obvious that his stick was no where near above the goal post. Game was rigged. Refs got paid off and Toronto (who will always hate us for that game 7 back in 93) will never turn down an opportunity to make us pay. dirty, stinky smelly officiating. screw you guys!!!!

How does a ref see a stick at the player’s waist and think that’s over four feet off the ice? Give me a damn break. That was a terrible call. I would argue there were views to overturn it. If you are logical and take Smyth’s height into consideration, even assuming he was standing straight up, that stick still couldn’t be above the height of the crossbar. BS call, total BS call.

I hate the defensive pair-ups. Johnson was hot and playing his butt off alongside Scuderi. Put them back together.
Drop poster/dough boy Doughty to second pairing with Drew and have Drew play defensive backstop.
Greene goes back to 3rd line with the more mobile Muzzin. Our D hasn’t been the same since the JJ/Scuderi split. Greene is a perfect #5 and excels there. JJ excels with Scuderi. DD is still gettig back into the swing of things. He will get his minutes on the PP.
TM has to put players where they excel. We have a great 2nd line – leave it alone.
We have an elite 3rd line w Poni, put King there until Poni is back.
Richie/Lewis pla along side Clifford or Westy on the 4th and play hard and fast causing hell – great 4th
DL needs to get Kopitar a skilled LW – its keeping us at the pretender stage. We have the goaltending, depth and prospect to be a true contender- lets get this done
