Four seconds after a Kings power play ended, the Senators went on the power play and took advantage. The Senators won an offensive-zone faceoff and the puck reached Kovalev in the right circle. He broke his stick on the shot, which beat Quick at the 10-minute mark with something of a knuckleball shot to give the Senators a 1-0 lead. The goal gave Kovalev his 1,000th career NHL point.
Breaking ball goal…
Tough luck there.

@puck73, It’s not Kompon making all those retarded behind the back passes, going off sides on the entry, or losing O-zone face offs. The players on the ice need to get it done!

@Cry Baby, Partially correct, fact is it his still his responsibility. As former President Reagan once said about the administrations mistake..the buck stops here. (meaning he is in charge and he accepts responsibility even if it is not his fault directly)

@puck73,Not a fan of blaming the coach when there are a lot of little things the players are not executing.

@puck73,
That was Harry Truman who said that.
I wonder if any other player has ever picked up his 1,000th point at exactly 10:00 of a period. Must mean something. Or not.

i can hear it now……thats nthe best period we have played all year….OTT>

The lack of execution on th PP does fall on the players shoulders, but the coaching staff diagrams the plays. And guess what. Nothing has changed. We’re more likely to score a shortie than a PP goal.
Fire kampon!

As my uncle who is at the game just asked me. “Do the Kings not have anyone better to play LW on the first line with Kopi? King looks like a fish out of water.” Looks like we’re in for a long night folks.

There are some really BIG hits.

Score KOPI!!!!!

King just looks like he is skating around out there until someone calls his name and wide body to come off the ice.
Greene is going to make more my fault comments. Bad turnover.
We are simply playing the send game.
Nice goal kopi!
