The Kings will get at least one point, but so will the Bruins, in a game they trailed 3-0. The Bruins outshot the Kings 17-8 in the third period and 39-25 in regulation.

Boy, does it feel like we go into overtime losing by a score of 3-3.

@Mel Powell, Sooner or later they have to catch a break…they played well enough in the third to deserve a break.

The Bruins, you mean? Or maybe you were watching the Flyers game?

WAT
I just want to state that the Kings PP is pathetic. Why were we giving up shots to the Bruins? There should be no way for them to be getting that much room to move.
The Kings last year had a better power play and were getting more shots on goal last year. The Kings are passing way too much, and not taking shots.
Jamie Kompon needs to be relieved of his duties as the PP coach.
[Reply]
Give them credit for playing hard in overtime–both teams want that 2nd point aren’t overly concerned about the other team getting it.
[Reply]
How many games do we have to lose because of our disgusting, bantam level power play, before Jamie Kompon gets replaced. The guy simply doesn’t know what he’s doing, and our DISGUSTING powerplay constantly loses us momentum, every single time. Every game this guy stands behind the bench, tells me that management still doesn’t ever feel the urgency to ice a better hockey team.

@nyck, Yup, gonna have to say the power play sucks. Unlike some, I’m not gonna get hyperbolic and say everything sucks, but the PP seems to suffer from the same lack of “push” the 5-on-5 play does.

@nyck, last year we couldn’t get a 5 on 5 goal if we paid for one…so this yr we are having trouble the pp goal. Can’t wait till we can score on both pp and 5 on 5. We will be wicked good!
[Reply]
Did someone go Zebra hunting?
[Reply]
Hate to see any kind of an injury, but the Kings could certainly use the breather.
[Reply]
why the heck are we are using the umbrella powerplay so much??? Crash the net, shoot the puck, maybe a couple passes is fine, how hard is that??

@Kings Fan in Temecula,
The PP should be set up and not require 16 passes before one shot.. it should be one-two shoot, one-two shoot. The goals do not need to be pretty.

Are teams now purposely scuffing the Zamboni blade or something?

Time for a shoootoooooot

I guess now we find out if the lack of mojo is going to affect the freak show in addition to the real hockey.
[Reply]
Kings playing not to lose. Not playing to win.
[Reply]
somebody try a slapshot for a change.
[Reply]
However this game turns out we blew it big time. Should never have gone to overtime.

The newly introduced term from the TM era is apropos at the moment. The Kings COMPETE level is sucking hard!! They had more heart when they were considered the underdog. Lose the swagger, boys. But I still love you!! GKG!
