Purple and gold in L.A.

The “vintage” purple-and-gold jerseys, which the Kings wore during the season opener at Vancouver, will be worn in three home games this season, and each game will be attached to a former Kings standout.

On Jan. 15 against Edmonton, the Kings will honor Rogie Vachon. On Feb. 24 against Minnesota, they will honor Bob Berry. On March 19 against Anaheim, they will honor Bob Pulford. More information about the games and players can be found by clicking here.

“The opportunity to recognize and honor three individuals who helped establish a foothold for our franchise during our 44 years in Los Angeles is something we take great pride in,” said president of business operations Luc Robitaille. “Having our team in vintage 1972 purple and gold jerseys will only add to the historic atmosphere we will create that will give our fans in attendance a chance to look back on some great memories while we look ahead to achieving our goals this season.”
