Praise for King’s debut

Dwight King, called up from Manchester of the AHL on Tuesday, made his NHL debut Wednesday in a third-line role with center Michal Handzus and right winger Wayne Simmonds. King played 11 minutes, 1 second, all at even strength, and recorded two shots on goal and three hits. Afterward, Terry Murray was asked for his thoughts on King’s first game…

MURRAY: “King was pretty good. He got around the ice, had good reads. He had an opportunity or two around the net. He used his body on the forecheck, knocked (Rick) Nash over in the second period with a good 1-on-1 battle. Overall, his game was good.”
