The wig party

Stick around long enough, and you never know what you might see… In honor of Ryan Smyth’s 1,000th game tonight, all of the Kings took the ice for the morning skate wearing mullet wigs, an exaggerated tribute to Smyth’s hairstyles over the years. Yes, I have pictures. It was pretty terrifying. Some guys had some “styling” done, cutting the hair shorter, while others went all-out and had it down to their lower backs.

As far as hockey goes, the Kings will go with a fourth line of Clifford, Richardson and Westgarth tonight. It will be Clifford’s ninth game, the maximum he can play before the Kings must decide to either keep him or return him to juniors. More from the skate to come…
