Kings 1, Devils 0

Justin Williams put the Kings on the board first. Ryan Smyth carried the puck into the New Jersey zone and passed to Jarret Stoll, who then dropped a pass for Williams. Williams did a slight spin move around Tyler Eckford and beat Brodeur with a wrist shot 6:52 into the game.

In case it’s not coming through on TV and radio — or in case you don’t have access to either — Ilya Kovalchuk is being loudly booed whenever he touches the puck.
