Jack Johnson’s postgame thoughts…
(on the road trip…)
JOHNSON: “It was successful. I think, truthfully, if you’re going to win your games at home and go .500 on the road, you’re going to have a great year. We’re trying to win more than we lose on the road, take care of our home games and have a great year.”
(on rebounding from the Chicago loss…)
JOHNSON: “Chicago is a great team, though. You’re not going to win every game. We didn’t think we played that bad in Chicago, and we lost, but it wasn’t too hard to shrug it off. The great thing about hockey is you usually get to play quickly, so we were looking forward to today.”
(on Quick’s play…)
JOHNSON: “Fantastic. He was great. He made huge saves for us. He’s been great all year and he was great all last year.”
(on stepping up in Doughty’s absence…)
JOHNSON: “I’ve been looking forward to this opportunity for a long time. Obviously we want to get Drew back as soon as possible, but we also don’t want to rush him, with an injury like that. He’s a huge part of this team. I know I’ve got a lot to offer this team, and that’s what I’m trying to do.”
