Justin Williams added an empty-net goal with 1:41 remaining — Davis Drewiske and Willie Mitchell got assists — and the Kings won despite being outshot 31-23. The Kings finished their road trip with a 3-2-0 record despite being without Drew Doughty for all of it. More from the locker room to come…

I’m not sure(Quisp probably knows better), but I think Lou was handcuffed on that, and had no choice but to go along with Kovalschmuck. That was the bigining of the end for that franchise.

The 19 year old Clifford was one of the best players on the Ice. This Kid needs to stay.. He is tough and as you can see tonight he can skate and create chances. TM gave him extra shifts and he did well. Good game for Clifford and it’s been a solid good 3 games for Clifford. Hope they keep this Kid in, he is only going to get better. Wait until he starts he starts showing all of you why he was on the first line for Manchester’s playoffs… The Kid has some hands too…

Go Kings Go! Another solid game by JJ. I just am continually impressed by Muzzin, although I think the combo of DD2 and Harold stays for this year. Eventually Muzzin is as good of a skater as Harold and is meaner/nastier than DD2. I will eat some crow over anticipating UFAs Williams & Stoll won’t be here after this year. I did at least argued too not trade Stoll unless we got a solid faceoff guy, but I know its still a wing and a thigh. But with Kings wins Crow is delicious. The way they are playing they will have their choice of teams. Lets hope they see the potential here and know that they fit here as well.
Also, hoping the night train is not seriously injured and can be back very soon.

Waiting to here from TM however can’t wait.

@src, Wondering if owner thinks Kovi is the equal of the 4 players he is removing from the roster. If NJ keeps loosing we may be able to fleece Parise at a reasonable price. I can see a 3 team deal we get Parise for prospects/picks and some other team gets Volchenkov for prospects/picks. I believe the only people that want Kovi/pricetag live in Russia at this point. At this point interest there may be fading fast. Looking forward to playing them on their end of a back to back with a 19 man roster.

We have played seven out of our first ten games on the road, our best player has been out for several games, and we are breaking several very young players into the lineup – and our record is 7 and 3!!! Pretty damn good start….
P.S. Am I the only one who is really impressed by Poni? The guy is a very solid two way player, and fits in perfectly on the 3rd line. The more I see, the more I like.

I forgot to post this after the last Kings win, but TM don’t you think Handzus deserves to be in the top 3 of shootouts with a 8 of 15 scoring rate. I believe he is 4 of 5 on shootouts as a King.

Gritty pond hockey game tonight. Even saw Willy knock someone down with a check LOL. Quick was very good but scared me a couple times with his biscuit handling around the net. Whiskey and Clifford were tight.

@408kingfan, Quick is one of the best goalies in the NHL. Hes in shape and has more experience now. He will finish top 10 and maybe top 5 in league. One thing I like about him is he plays best when we need it like in shootouts. His huge save tonite when the game was 1-1 was a game changer
