End of second: Chicago 2-1

The Kings were outshot 11-9 in the second period, were able to kill both Chicago penalties in the period and got a handful of quality scoring chances but trail heading into the third period.

    Not too bad…
    Now, it’s a one-period road game, deficit only one shot from even.

    Bernier needs to finish this game like he finished his last start, standing on his head.

    Have not seen the kings make this many pretty plays in the O zone in a long long time. If bernier can clean it up I think we can get this one.

    Richardson with some serious chances! If he can bury one of those we’ve got this.

    I think all 4 lines are playing solid.

    Clifford with another solid game and was rewarded with some extra ice time after the to PKs..

    They looked good at the end of the period but the hawks are just all over the ice. We need to wear them down early and isolate turco to beat the shooter. Throw pucks at the net!!!

    I liked the 2nd…You really get the feeling that it is only a matter of time before we score…Good pressure, zone time and offensive zone cycle especially towards the of the second

    Alrite lets control the neutral zone boys, throw pucks at the net and don’t try to be cute with passes, control rebounds into the corners, draw a couple penalties and tie this game up!

    This is the most aggresive the kings D has been at the blue line in a long time. They are all pinching at the right time and holding the puck in the zone for long stretches wearing down the hawks.

    this is starting to get to that point where it feels like Turco is not going to be beat. He is a crazy flopper but when he gets in the zone it feels like he gets ALL the lucky bounces.

    Not every slapshot from the point with traffic in front is going to be blocked. I wish they would try for those defections more. All that work in the corners to settle for the bad angle/ side of the net shot? Go Kings
