The Blackhawks got the scoring started 5:16 into the game. Jake Dowell took the puck to the net and got around Davis Drewiske. Dowell’s shot deflected off the stick of Drewiske from close range and beat Bernier high.

    Terribly unfortunate bounce goes against us.

    Drewiski doing the right thing getting his stick in the way…Bernier doing the right thing hugging the post.

    Just a bad bounce goes against us.

    I wonder how many will howl this is a OMGWTF WEAK GOAL BERNIER?

    @Jay, I think Drewiski’s stick was angled. You don’t angle your stick to block the shot especially right in front of the goalie. Fundamental misake.
