The Kings had a handful of quality scoring chances in the first five minutes, but Minnesota struck first, with a goal at the 5:52 mark. Quick made the save on Clayton Stoner’s long-range shot, but couldn’t hold the puck or cover the rebound, and John Madden swooped in and knocked in the loose puck.
Kings had a few great chances but tried to make the pretty passes. Just shoot!

That was unfortunate. The puck was deflected after it was shot from the point and Quick didn’t know where it was, Madden was there for a quick little shot on the rebound. Clifford pinched down on the half boards. Dang.

@KingSurfer, The puck looked to be bouncing.

That first goal was caused by a rookie mistake, clifford doubled up on a hit with jack johnson and puck got to the middle of the ice. Ask me Clifford is done, back to JR’s

Kings look fast, but the Wild are the ones scoring (oh no!).

The Kings keep giving up the puck at the wrong times and places to the Wild, even though otherwise the forwards are pushing play.

Does anyone else think Simmonds would be better served on another line? It seems his slow linemates are holding him back. He moves to the 4th line for 2 periods and scores 2 goals…

Why cant we bury these chances?????
