Brandon Kozun and Dwight King are off to great scoring starts for the Manchester Monarchs. Kozun had two goals and King had one as the Monarchs beat Bridgeport 6-3 last night. Kozun and King each have five goals in six games this season.
The Monarchs took a 3-0 lead, then scored twice after Bridgeport closed to 4-3. Manchester also got goals from David Meckler, Zach Harnden and Justin Azevedo. Alec Martinez had three assists, while Corey Elkins and Viatcheslav Voynov each had two assists. Jeff Zatkoff stopped 28 of 31 shots as the Monarchs improved to 3-2-1.
