Greene, Parse updates

Here’s the official word for Terry Murray, regarding his thoughts on whether Matt Greene might return to the lineup tomorrow…

MURRAY: “I haven’t decided yet. He had a pretty good practice. I know he’s feeling good. I think we need to decide, as coaches, and I need to decide if he’s game-ready. … There will be conversation with Matt here today, kind of feeling that part out. Hopefully by later this evening I’ll have an idea of which way I’m going to go.”

Scott Parse has also looked strong in his return to practice this week, after his groin injury, but Murray said a return is not imminent.

MURRAY: “He can do everything. He got the OK from the doctor to participate and get through the practices and get pushed in the extra work that needs to be done to get his physical conditioning up and see if he’s OK. It’s going to take a while though. It’s not something that I’m looking at, as far as the lineup in the next couple games or anything like that. He’s going to need a real good push, a hard push. He needs to get into competitive battle situations still, and then we’ll see where it’s at after that.”
