    Any idea when/how I missed any contact that could have been the cause of the injury

  12. Jeff says:

    I looked at the last shift of Doughty in first and there is any contact, nothing special.

    The irony is, this happens on the day Rich releases an article about playing through injuries.

    Can’t say what I really want to say.

    Only bright side is, watching the game on TV, I have no clue where he got hurt, so I’m hoping it’s a muscle pull/strain as opposed to something more structural.

    @frazier king,

    Depends. Look how long Greene has been out. Hopefully it’s nothing major.

    @Dan H., true but knee injury’s and hockey is a bad mix.

    Damn, hope it’s not serious, but as tough as he is, if he’s not back tonight, he’s probably not playing tomorrow either, I’m afraid.

    He was played sparingly in the first….hell my Dad noticed he was getting much time and pops isnt one to care too much about ice time.

    Shrugs. It’s a long year, better upper body than lower for DD. Greene coming back just in time, no reason to panic. Bernier rusty not playing for a while, nothing to get too worked up about.

    Saw the replay, cole catches him on the far shoulder, probably a strain, possible seperation

    Mesquite Smokie Reply:

    @jammer06, let’s hope it isn’t the seperation

    Somehow, I feel I’m too blame. Even before I learned that Greene was cleared, I was watching Muzzin and Drewiske closely in the first period trying to figure out which deserved to stay more.

    Man you guys overreact…”The sky is falling?” c’mon! Injuries is part of the game and hopefully Drew won’t miss much but if he does let’s hope that Jack jumps in and takes over. GO KINGS!

    [Reply]

    Mesquite Smokie Reply:

    @DaveinSD,

    Dave, we might be overreacting, but when you have a favorite player, you really don’t want to see them get hurt.

    [Reply]

    DaveinSD Reply:

    @Mesquite Smokie, Drew is one of my favorites too, but I’m also a fan of the 22 other players on the roster. I play league hockey in SD and playing this game is frickin hard. My hat is off to these guys who play this hard every night. I just come to except that injuries is a no brainer in this game, so I expect the other 22 guys to step up and fill Drew’s place until he is gone. “The Sky is not falling” Drew is just injured…he will be back!
