Hockey Fights Cancer

Tonight is the Kings’ “Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night.” As part of the event, players and coaches will be wearing pink-themed helmet decals, ties and hats, and players from both teams will be using sticks wrapped with pink tape during the warmups. Several of those sticks will be auctioned to benefit Hockey Fights Cancer, and the highest bidder for a game-worn helmet will be able to choose the player whose helmet he or she wants. The Kings Care Foundation will be selling special keychains and a blood-donation van will be set up outside the arena.

In semi-related news, the annual Tip-A-King event, which benefits the Kings Care Foundation, is coming up on Nov. 7 (10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.) and will be held at Nokia Plaza at L.A. Live. General-admission and VIP tickets are available and more information can be found by clicking here.
