The case against former Kings assistant coach Mark Hardy has been closed. Hardy, who was arrested in Washington, D.C., in May and eventually charged with fourth-degree sexual abuse (a misdemeanor), was scheduled to have a non-jury trial this morning in D.C. Superior Court, but the case was dismissed “for want of prosecution,” according to court records. Hardy resigned from the Kings’ coaching staff in June and was replaced by John Stevens.
