The Kings’ TV schedule has (finally) been announced, and 77 games will be televised this season, between Fox Sports West, Prime Ticket, NBC, Versus and KDOC. Bob Miller and JIm Fox will do 70 games, while one game is tentatively schedule for NBC, five more are on Versus and one will be a Ducks telecast of a Kings-Ducks games. The Kings announced that all 70 of their broadcasts will be in high definition this season.
The only games without TV (at least in Los Angeles) are Nov. 6 vs. Nashville, Dec. 18 at Nashville, Dec. 29 at Phoenix, Feb. 2 at Edmonton and March 9 at Detroit. Note also that the March 11 game at Columbus, scheduled for a 4 p.m. Pacific start, will be tape-delayed until 7:30 p.m. on Prime Ticket.
Bob and Jim will also call two of the Kings-Ducks games at Honda Center, on Nov. 29 and Feb. 23. (The Ducks’ broadcasters will handle the April 8 game at Anaheim on KDOC) Bob and Jim will also do the March 13 game at Dallas if it is not picked up by NBC. The other potential NBC game is Feb. 13 at Philadelphia. NBC has until 14 days before the game to decide whether to broadcast it or not.
A reminder that the Versus games are Oct. 25 at Minnesota, Dec. 13 at Detroit, Jan. 3 vs Chicago, Jan. 17 at Dallas and April 4 at San Jose.
Once again, the radio iron men, Nick Nickson and Daryl Evans, will broadcast all 82 games on 1150-AM and other affiliates (1520-AM in Ventura, 1220-AM in Santa Clarita, 1490-AM in Banning, 1240-AM in Ridgecrest, 1380-AM in Palmdale and 1450-AM in Palm Springs).
