Phoenix took the lead on Jordan Szwarz’s power-play goal at the 3:49 mark, with Michael Pelech in the box for kneeing.

    Was the penalty literally for “kneeing”? Because I’ve never seen that before.

    @lilwaynesimmonds,

    It’s a real call. It’s essentially the call made in the instance of one player sticking his leg out and hitting another player. usually an intentional knee to knee hit or somethin along those lines.

    I didn’t know they still called kneeing… I hear it maybe once or twice a year. Really, even spearing seems to be more common nowadays.
