Poll time

There’s still no indication from the Kings that they’re interested in re-joining the Ilya Kovalchuk drama — they’re maintaining a public silence, and I’ve heard nothing of any substance since Monday — but that doesn’t prohibit debate, does it? The Kings were left holding a 15-year, $80-million offer, an offer that, in terms of structure, wasn’t even close to the 17-year, $102-million offer the Devils put forth (because there was no way he would have even come close to fulfilling the contract). So what do you think? If you’re Dean Lombardi, would you just back into the Kovalchuk situation, or continue exploring other trade options?
