Tournament wrapups

The Memorial Cup wrapped up yesterday with Windsor’s 9-1 victory over Brandon in the final. Kings prospect Brayden Schenn had one assist for Brandon in the final and finished the tournament with one goal and five assists in five games. Calgary goalie Martin Jones had a 2-1-1 record, a 3.71 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage in four games and was named the outstanding goalie of the tournament. Calgary’s Brandon Kozun, who missed most of the tournament with an ankle injury, had two assists in two games.

In the IIHF World Championships, the Czech Republic beat Russia 2-1 yesterday in the final, meaning Alexander Frolov took home a silver medal. Frolov had one point (an assist) in eight games.
