For all the golfers out there, or simply for anyone looking to support a good cause, Jim Fox and Dave Taylor have organized their 22nd annual charity golf tournament, which benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The event will be held Monday, June 14, at the Moorpark Country Club, with a 10 a.m. shotgun start, followed by a cocktail reception and an awards dinner hosted by Bob Miller and Nick Nickson. Kings alumni such as Jim, Dave, Luc Robitaille, Pete Demers, Gary Edwards, Glen Murray, Brad Norton and Ian Turnbull have already committed to participate, along with LAKings.com’s Heidi Androl, with more names to be added in the coming weeks. For more information on the event, including how to register for the tournament and/or donate items or money, please cheek out the link below…

I don’t golf. I grew up in Detroit so I thought a golf club was a weapon.

Thanks to Dave and Jim all the Kings involved in putting this fundraiser together. My 3 year old daughter has CF and it’s truely a tough condition. However, there really is hope for a cure in her lifetime.
The money raised in events like these are the primary reason why research funded by the CF Foundation has lead to life expectancy for CF suffers to increase from 6 to 37 years in just the last few decades.
Thanks to the Kings for doing this event.
