The Canucks tied the game 1:57 into the third period. Kevin Bieksa came to the net, took a centering pass from Daniel Sedin and shot from close range. Quick made the stop, but the puck trickled through his pads and over the line.

Thank goodness we got Bernier waiting in the wings for next year.

So, just when I think Quick has gotten his game back, he gives up that horrible goal…what is wrong with the guy?
[Reply]
Go Quick! Go TM!
[Reply]
its time for everyone of you to do what ever you can to make this happen. IE pray, kill a chicken i dont care what it is.
[Reply]
Quick giving up another weak one. Kingslook tentative.
[Reply]
Goals like that are so deflating. That may be the softest goal I’ve ever seen in my life.
[Reply]
Quick is not playing well enough! he needs to stop those weak arse shots.
[Reply]
This is the part of the playoffs the Kings have to master. Keep going, keep going no matter what!
–And as I type this, they earn a penalty!–
Go Boys!
[Reply]
POWER PLAY…..GO KINGS GO…Keep the faith
[Reply]
Quick is the reason the Kings are in the playoffs. Show some support
[Reply]
I feel sorry for the players. TM should be fired for his playoffs goalie decision.
Quick should also be traded away as soon as possible, with every minute he play, his value is dropping.

GO KINGS GO! im losing my voice here at home. Win or lose tonight i will be very happy with the kings and the staff of what this team has done this season. It’s just going to get better and i cant wait! Thanks Rich for all of your hard work and every blog you write! I speak for everyone when i say we love your hard work and what you do for us fans. The off season is going to be exciting with the moves the kings are going to make everything is going the right way and i have been waiting my whole life for this!
i know i sound like i think this is it but i dont i think the kings are going to win tonight and tuesday!
GO KINGS GO!!!
[Reply]
i love quick but you would be blind not to see that he is not sure of him self. And there is there is a lot that has caused that. its a downward spiral, he needs to fight his demons
[Reply]
@adi
Actually here is my suggestion. You should start coaching midgets, work your way up to High School hockey and then eventually the pros. And when you become a master coach, let us know.
[Reply]
Cycle and chase–that MUST END!
[Reply]
Kings are playing with fire. Vancouver is gonna try and win it in the 3rd.
[Reply]
Looks like the muck are looking for a pp. They keep falling down easily
[Reply]
It was a bad goal. Game is not over. Quit whining. Quick got us here, it’s his to finish. I feel like most of you are Ducks fans pretending to be real hockey fans. Maybe you should join their blog.
[Reply]
wheels are close to coming off
[Reply]
Some of us want Quick to play well in the playoffs too!
[Reply]
Thanks Rich its been a fun year
[Reply]
@ PrOcess
Totally agree…he’s lost his confidence and even worse, he looks very slow, almost like he’s had a concussion…seriously, could he be hurt and not have told anyone? This is not the guy that played in net for the Kings first 2/3 of the season.
[Reply]
Adi–
Did everyone hate you in High School?
It’s okay, you know. Just because you dislike everybody and everything doesn’t mean everyone dislikes you…
[Reply]
i dont know you never know the little stuff till after. guess will find out
[Reply]
Come on boys, pull out the W!
[Reply]
We need a lucky one people its how it is, time to make some luck and finish it up.
[Reply]
Come on boys; You can do this!!
[Reply]
@ alex
Problem is there have been way too many “bad goals”…it’s not whining, it’s reality…live with it!
[Reply]
Come on boys, you can do this!

While Los Angeles’ all-time record in best-of-seven series when looking to avoid elimination is only 13-18, the Kings have won their last six straight Game 6′s dating back to 1993. They have not lost a series in Game 6 since 1992. For the Canucks, their record in games where they have a chance to clinch a best-of-seven series is 11-9 but have lost two Game 6′s in a row dating back to 2007.
This is from the Cannugets’ webpage, let’s hope it comes to bite them back and we can keep this streak going.
Go Kings Go!

Imagine how good we would be with an NHL caliber goalie.
[Reply]
ahhhhhhhhhh.hell…Still love My KINGS
[Reply]
It’s been a great year. Quick certainly hasn’t been the same and Luongo played well. It’s disappointing but I’m not gonna blame anyone. I think that they’ll only get better from this experience, and for all of you who’ve had enough of Quick, you don’t much see the big picture…. but Bernier will be up next year and I think they have other things to concern themselves with beyond their goaltending. 5 on 5 play for me is a bigger issue than the goaltending.
No new baby and not having to play 72 games should help.
[Reply]
Unfortunately Luongo was the difference in this series. Luongo outplayed Quick and he stole games 1 and 6 tonight for them, even when he didn’t play his best earlier in the series.
We all knew we were going to live or die with Quick and unfortunately it was the latter. I can’t wait till Bernier takes over next year!
[Reply]
As Shades said, I KNOW this team will play better next yr with an NHL caliber goalie. It’s a pity the boys play so hard only to lose on softies. Soooo deflating. Well, we’ll get ‘em next year! Go Kings
