Lineup confirmed

The Kings will use the forward lines tonight that they had in the morning skate. Terry Murray said he wanted to get Justin Williams back in for the experience factor and said he wants better puck possession from the second line, so he made the move with Richardson there. Much more to come from the skate, including a lot on Doughty’s Norris nomination.

im not sure about taking richie off arguably our best line!!! Willie does not play as big as richie and is slower. Stoll is not a fourth line player either…I would rather had willie on 4th line…oh well. In TM we trust (we dont really have a choice do we?) anyways, in my opinion, the winner of tonights game wins the series!!! GO KINGS GO!!!

I think we can be confident that Richardson plays well on any line the coach decides to put him on.

@ Sebastian Totally agree. Williams needs to play with skilled guys but Richardson is so versatile that he can play on your top line and your checking line with no loss in the level of contribution.

I really like Stoll, but believe he deserves less ice time until he picks his game up. He has been pretty miserable so far in the series.

There is good reaso for this. it spreads the team speed around a bit. They’re most likely going to play the Sedins against the Kopitar line. we need a bit more scoring from lines 2-4 and I think this will be very important tonight

This was my response on the parallel universe that can’t be seen here:

Mo-Zeus-Willie is a S—–L—–O—–W Line! I’m really worried about the lack of speed there. That is a line that has to creep in to the O-Zone. Dump-n-chase, one guy in with the other 2 at the 1/2 boards waiting to cycle. DON’T send the puck to the blueline unless the path to a d-man is obvious and clear.

If VAN intercepts any pass with that line and get an ‘Off to the races’ movement the other way, we’ll be in trouble. Hopefully there will be a good contain game in the O-zone with this line.

Otherwise, doesn’t look too bad. We’re definitely rollin’ 4.

Here’s how I would have rolled it though (Like it matters):

    Smyth-Kopi-Simmer
    Fro-Stoll-Brown
    Mo-Zeus-Richie
    Clune-Hal-Willie

Speed on every line to execute the consistent forecheck:

    Simmer
    Stoll
    Richie
    Clune

    That’s just me though.

We need a big night from Kopi tonight. I also am ready for Fro to put one in too! Richie and Dustin will create chances for him tonight.

I’m not sure about the “new” third line. There isn’t one guy there that is really good in the corners, like Richardson.

Not to mention, as Cynic stated, speed will be an issue.

i wish brown out…now i expect much more from the second line, because richi is there…i think the winner of todays game is the WINNER.

Actually TM said that he couldn’t continue to sit Williams after OD and Smyth made huge defensive lapses the last game and that he should have only sat Williams for 1 game and not 3 – oh wait, that’s just me.

Stoll has brought a lot of energy and has been hitting everything in sight. His new on the fourth line makes sense to me.
