If you win as a team you lose as a team. Vanhoover is a PHYSICAL team something the young Kings need to learn, the balance between the skill and physical play.
Vanhoover has been here many times before and they understand this.

wow.. is this the same team that won 2 games against these guys? Horrible team effort.. playing a couple steps behind this whole game.. and having horrible goal-tending tonight did not help. Do the boys know its a critical game 5. If we win we could go home and maybe close out the series?! Hmmmm… We needed quick to be big in this game as well as the team, but quick needed to steal us a game or two.. just like loungo has stoll them 2 games already, and is playing great tonight. Well dont think the boys are coming back in this game.. but can we please at least pick up the hitting and injure on of the alien freeks or SAMUALSON PLZZZ… INJURE THERE SORRY A**E*!!! Send them a msg that you nuckers are not taking this series that easily. PICK UP THE HITTING BOYS!!!

i didnt expect them to win this series, but they made me believe in game 3 that they had a real shot. it is too bad they are playing like this tonight. Quick has been bad, but WAY too much running around in their own end. how many times are they going to have 2 guys chasing after the puck carrier? that killed them in game 4. Cmon Kings fight back in the 3rd Go Kingsss!!!!!

Most people didn’t think I was in my right frame of mind to suggest that EE start this game instead of Quick…maybe you still don’t, but he certainly couldn’t have been any worse.

Let’s not forget, Quick basically has only 2 wins in his last 12 starts. TM should get a clue and start EE for the next one.

Of course, he’ll probably change his lineup again and screw with the lines as well…what an ultra-maroon!

On one shift alone, Jones touched the puck 6 times and turned it over 5. OD is in slow motion tonight. Our D is failing tonight. Actually no King really showed up to play. We need an excellent 3rd period so win or lose we can carry the momentum into Staples Center for game 6.

Can’t let Luongo come out of this with total confidence. There is time to still shake him up a bit, but need to get in his face and his head….

    [Reply]

  43. -Too many defensive breakdowns!!!!

-Smyth stayed on the ice way too long which led to the fourth goal.

-Luongo is seeing every shot his way.

-Quick was obviously shaky and should of stopped at least two of them.

-I don’t see how we can stop their first line.

All that being said, this team can rebound at home in Game six. I want those fans to go crazy cause who knows what will happen in a game seven.

  45. KingMe20 says:

Alright… if nothing else, I want the Kings to beat the crap out of these guys physically. Sedin, Sedin, and Samuelsson don’t touch the puck without someone running them over. Send a message, and bang them up before Game 6.

I’m still picking the Kings in 7, and if the Kings win Game 6, all the pressure will be on Vancouver. According to all of Canada, they’re supposed to win this series. Let’s make them feel the full weight of their country’s hopes and dreams for a Canadian champion, and then let’s rip that dream right out of their damn hands.

We might not be playing well tonight, but we all have to admit that we did a whole hell of a lot better than anyone expected us to do.

Win or lose, the boys will take a lot away from this series, that hunger is going to be there next year.

We can turn this game around if we start putting pucks on net.

Cut Quick some slack he’s been good for us this season, he’s had some bad luck of late, he’ll turn it around.

Here’s hoping we come out hard in the 3rd and play a physical game

the kings are going to probably lose both the game as well as the series….but, considering it has been 8 long years since I have been able to cheer for my hockey team, i have enjoyed this time.

Sure, maybe Quick is soft on some goals, and maybe Bernier is the answer,or perhaps Ersberg should have played more….

But, since I have been following the kings since Jiggs Mc Donald was their announcer, during the time of Cowboy Bill Flett, Darryl Evans, Dave Taylor, some young slow assed winger, nicknamed “Lucky”, and the likes of Tonelli, “Krusher”, Allison,Gosselin ( I always root for the underdog),not to mention McSorley,Hrudey,Nicholls,Duschene, simmer and dionne…
there are so many more I have forgot….But, I will never forget how they brought the greatest game into my life.

The L.A. Kings have been my team for over 20 years….
    They are now YOUR team…..

    I wish You all….Lord Stanleys Cup…..

Tonight was the most important game of his career, and no matter how any of you Quick apologists want to slice it, he did not give his team a chance to win.
