Blog update

We hope — fingers crossed here — that we have resolved the blog server issues and that traffic will be OK tonight. For those who have the site bookmarked, please make sure it’s set to http://www.lakingsinsider.com, as that is where the blog is now hosted. It has had a different host for the past few days, so right now it’s like “Lost,” with parallel lives. Anyway, please make sure you’re set to the main page, and thanks again for the patience…

So when are you going to get rid of the slash in the upper right hand corner? Or does it have pictures of you?

    I have the slash.

My comments from the other site are not posted here, so it seems there are parallel universes at work here.

I’ll just stick to this one, thick or thin.

variable…Thanks for spotting that. I made the fix myself.

@Carolina Kings Fan: As I posted this morning, according to the indemandsports website it’s going to be the Kings feed. But that might just be my local market/carrier.

Off topic but I saw this on the NHL Kings v. Canucks blog:

Vigneault on the brawl at the end of Game 4: “We haven’t talked about it much. It’s an emotional game. We’re big boys and we’ve got little boys in front of us, and boys will be boys sometimes.”

Interesting observation from the big baby in the room…

Too bad for Parse. I like Parse. He does a good job positioning himself to get shots on net. However, I saw him turn away from landing a solid check several times over the last two games, many which allowed the nux to continue cycling down low. Coaching staff needs to explain to Parse that playoff hockey means finish your checks.

I still see the forward slash in top left corner, & it was a upside down question mark for quite a while. It must be from Mikus.

  26. Dan H. says:

After crying all series long Coach Vinegarette said that Kings4queens? That’s one of those “priceless” things that should be on the locker room wall.

Weird I have the bad format on this site and the comments from the other haven’t caught up either.

    Well Variable-

I have the Juraj Mikus jersey. It’s only fair someone else comes with the ‘Slash’ jersey.

The question mark should be on the Mexican National Hockey team jersey.

  34. Kingsfanone says:

    yup……….”slashing” on Mikus.

As for Vigneault saying that, gotta feed that to him the rest of this series and especially after we beat them in 6.

It might be alot to ask,but can we get the reply function back, and the recent comments section to the left back also?

    [Reply]

  40. Rich Hammond says:

Dominick…everything will be fully functional shortly. The first priority is just to make sure that the server has enough juice to handle all of the blog traffic. The “threading” reply is a great feature, but it’s also a big server drain, so we want to make sure everything is OK elsewhere first.

    Rich,

Bet you never envisioned this kind of writer life, eh? Pretty cool though, you’ve really have marked a hugh change in sports writer’s paradygm.

No one could of figured a writer like yourself could maintain credibiilty while being paid by the team you are covering. I doubt many people here realise just how unbelievable that feat is.

Very very few writers could of pulled this blog stuff off like you did Rich. Take a bow, you are a trend setter as I bet they’ll be other teams and writers taking notice looking to copy what you’ve done.

Least I forget to credit the King’s front office for have the balls to give Rich the chance to pull it off. Hats off to you as well.
